Lyrics
Dearly Departed,
At the time of writing this letter, the load on my chest has quadrupled, the knot in my throat has shapened into a bow and arrows freely aiming at my heart, but I don't think it hurts nearly enough.
I have come to become numb, well for a time, that is before I think about you and all you left behind;
The memories,
The plans,
Your little girls...
"I wish we had more time" was all you said, but wishes and horses don't mix and great men do not live to a ripe old age to walk with sticks.
They live sublime lives and depart leaving behind footprints on the sands of time.
They leave behind an irregular period of peace with a kind of electric soothing vibration resonating with our cells and distorting our senses never to be the same again, with whispers of "I EXISTED, I WAS HERE."
We the survived might want different, but death is the extreme love of life, the blind eye to an eternal end, and in your words years before;
"And if I should stop breathing before any of you, break not a flower nor inscribe on a stone in sadness, for I would have been done with my job here, speak not in a Sunday voice but be your usual selves that I had known, do weep if you must but be strong if you can, for I know parting ways can be hell, but LIFE must go on so do not forget to sing as well."
You knew what life held close as a secret, we didn't.
I miss you with every single second you're not present, blessed with your thoughts, that will be my everyday gift to you till perhaps I too make my journey down the yellow brick road...
Awesome... You are superb man
