Artist picture
Singer songwriter Jed Marum's music is folk, roots and bluegrass in style. With an earthy country and celtic air, he brings real-life stories to song with humor
I love music. I've been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and along the way I sang everything from old folk songs to rock and blues.Today I make a living playing a mix of Folk/Bluegrass and Celtic music venues around the US. I write a lot of the music I sing and I play banjo, guitar and harmonica. I have endorsement from Larrivee Guitars.

Story behind the song
A bouncing look at the world, always driving home, always bringing the miles with me. The song ties together the lessons and the love of music passed on to me by my father.
Lyrics
MILES FROM HOME - (c) Jed Marum 2005 A quarter moon climbed high That West Virginia sky I'm rollin on Still I'm miles from home cross that Appalachian Ridge I'm miles from home This highway twists and turns 'til the mid day summer burns I'm rollin' on Still I'm miles from home cross that Mississippi bridge I'm miles from home Seems the good Lord blessed my soul When he gave me wheels to roll Well I've known strife Still I love this life And emblazoned on my heart Are the miles from home My father taught me well 'til I bid him fond farewell His race is run And I'm still rollin' on But his song lives in my heart All these miles from home Yes his song lives in my heart All these miles from home
