Norwood Basement Band plays blues, hard rock, classic rock, keyboards, piano, funk, instrumental rock and acoustic and electric guitar music, with jommin' drums
The first stint of this band formed in the late 80's and played into the early 90's. We recorded two albums. The genre then was blues/rock/jazz fusion, featuring keyboards, drums, electric guitars and a dash of piano. Back then we had 5 members total: two drummers, two guitarists and one keyboardist/pianist. I have kept the name for an updated version. Right now, there are two members, myself (guitars) and my son (drummer, sound engineer).

Story behind the song
If you need an image to think on while listening, there are several possibles: Bilbo Baggins at his desk reaching for just the right words, your favorite book author formulating that plot and typing -- at times in frenzied inspiration -- or even yourself, as you toss back and forth on what to put in that letter. The finis note is a relatively abrupt half note...that last period. I tried to embody that feeling of completion or sigh of relief that, yes, it is finished. Now, not to leave out us musicians as listeners. Hopefully, we can relate, too. Our tools are musical instruments -- not necessarily desk and inkwell -- and we also have those hurried moments of insight into our themes and plots. Enjoy!
