Frank Lamphere has been honing his swinging style during his 25 year singing career in the specialized genre nowadays referred to as traditional pop and jazz. A style which he learned or more like "absorbed" from the titans of popular music, aka male vocalists prior to 1970: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jack Jones, Buddy Greco, Tony Bennett and others. Music career highlights include four CDs released, radio and television commercials, steadies at top jazz clubs in Chicago, headlining numerous Rat Pack themed shows across the Midwest, high-profile corporate and private gigs from Las Vegas to New York, even performing in Milan, Italy. He recorded Look Out For Love which opened the 2007 film Osso Bucco. His original song I Never Forgot from his 2012 CD Frank Swings was featured prominently in the award-winning independent film Theresa Is a Mother. Prolific in the recording studio over the last several years, Frank has been utilizing the abundant jazz talent in Chicago and recorded three more albums. His fifteen song Frank Sinatra tribute Frank Songs, My Way could very well shake up the industry when it comes out in mid-2024. Available for musical performance nationwide, with his band.

Story behind the song
"This Guy's In Love With You was always a stand-out song, to me. Burt Bacharach and Hal David certainly had a big hand in shaping pop music of the 1960s. There were not many songs more popular than this one in 1968. This was Herb Alpert's first (probably only) vocal hit. The love song has been covered by many throughout the decades: Andy Williams, Robert Goulet, Bobby Vinton, The Four Tops, Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr. and more recently, Steve Tyrell. When recorded by female vocalists, it became This Girl's in Love With You. Dionne Warwick, Ella Fitzgerald and Dusty Springfield were sensational with this love song. While I was discussing songs for inclusion on this album in early 2019 with bassist Dennis Carroll, when this one came up, he said almost instantly, that he could hear it played as a waltz. A waltz? Okay, fine by me. It turned out to be quite a challenge in this setting. After several attempts over several months, I think I was able to capture an effective vocal, for the key signature and arrangement. Trumpeter Mark Olen adds great atmosphere with his muted trumpet, throughout the song. I decided to also sing this one in Italian after having found a version online. In that one, Un Ragazzo che ti Ama, Chicago saxman Eric Schneider, plays a very subdued tenor." - Frank Lamphere
